It’s my own experience and I have no doubt whatsoever about this. Article marketing is one of the most effective and very affordable technique. Some internet marketing guru said that it’s a proven strategy, and it’s true, I’ve proved it myself.

Article marketing can be utilized for several purposes :

  1. The very basic purpose is direct affiliate marketing program – by sending your visitors directly to the merchant’s sales page. Advanced marketer called this the “dumb marketer” strategy, because we only send traffic to our affilate pages, without trying to get them to become our list, we just hope they buy directly after visiting our affiliate pages. Anyway, you can laugh at me, even though those gurus call this “dumb strategy”, but in fact my first 12 sales within 1 month on affiliate marketing is by using this dumb strategy alone (well, 12 sales is not much, I got only a bit more than $400, but what the heck …. it’s free money after all).
  2. The More advance purpose is list building, we can send our visitors to our landing pages instead of direct merchant’s sales pages, then by offering some free useful stuff (this have to be useful, not bunch of free garbages), we can build our own list before our visitors go to the merchant’s sales pages.
  3. Next advance purpose is to promote your blog or website by providing it with high quality backlinks through our own articles (more advance application is by building a “link-wheel”, I will discuss about this later).
  4. Related to the third purpose above, this article marketing can also be utilized to optimize our websites or blogs.
  5. And many many more ……..

OK, let’s proceed with the first purpose – direct affiliate marketing program

If you want to get easy money, even though it will takes sometimes, this is the easiest way.

First, you have to become an affiliate. Clickbank is my top recommendation, because they have thousands of products to sell, they pay timely, they have great support ….. and THEY ARE 100% FREE.

To join them, you only need about 2 or 3 minutes! and you will become an internet marketer with thousands of products in your hand ……. but no customer yet lol … :) , it’s really easy … I don’t want to waste more of your time writing on this matter, try it yourself ! but if you have any questions, just shoot me an e-mail, I will help you.

Next step, how to choose a product and how to promote it using this “dumb strategy”? I will not go to all details, because product selection is also a bit “wide” area  (I will make a post about this in the future),  instead I listed 3 criterias I’ve been using :

  • I always choose products with gravity higher than 25 (usually not higher than 200, but this upper limit is pretty loose, sometimes I can go with a product with gravity much higher than 200). What is gravity? don’t even bother about it for now, otherwise, this post will be too long :)
  • I rarely choose internet marketing product to promote, why? … more on this later :) I mostly choose health, parenting, relationship etc.
  • I always picked products with good looking sales pages, therefore I have greater chance to sell

Ok, for now, those 3 criteria is enough. Actually you better do some small research before the product selection I’ve described above.

OK, the next step is to promote your product …. HOw? …. using Article Marketing posted on Prominent Article directories !

You may ask, why article directories? because if you post your article on prominent article directories such as EzineArticles, your article will have much and much greater chance of being “visible” instead of posting on your newly built blog, therefore visitors are almost “guaranteed” (in EzineArticles, you can almost instantly get 5 to 30 visitors right after your article been published) …… What is the reason behind this? I will discuss on my next post.
